Abstract
Understanding air pollutant behaviour and interactions has become increasingly important due to the growing impact of air quality on human health and environmental conditions. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) has emerged as a significant metric for public health concerns in recent decades. Recent studies indicate that people spend more of their time indoors, further emphasising the importance of understanding indoor air quality dynamics. Poor IAQ plays a substantial role in the development of respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, as well as long-term adverse health effects. Therefore, this study analyses the Indoor/Outdoor Air Quality Dataset, which contains air quality measurements collected from two indoor residential rooms and one outdoor environment. The analysis focuses on relationships between several important environmental and pollutant parameters. The obtained analysis supports a better understanding of correlations between dominant pollutants that fluctuate in different residential microenvironments. Pollutant concentrations in indoor microenvironments exhibit significantly greater variability and temporal fluctuations compared to outdoor measurements. Despite this instability, several pollutant relationships remain consistent across different indoor environments, suggesting the presence of underlying interaction patterns. These findings highlight the importance of continuous air quality monitoring, as well as a deeper understanding of indoor air dynamics in residential settings. Given the critical role of air quality in everyday living spaces. The study also suggests several considerations that may contribute to improving residential indoor environmental conditions.
Climate change and urbanization demands have highlighted the importance of indoor air quality (IAQ) as a key component of healthy and sustainable buildings. School environments are of particular concern because children spend a significant portion of their day indoors and are more susceptible to the adverse effects of...

While there has been accumulating evidence of the association between long-term exposure to air pollution and various health endpoints, most epidemiological studies relied on ambient air pollution which showed substantial deviation from indoor. This difference could lead to biased or imprecise health effect estimates,...
