Abstract
The subject of the research is the analysis of Russian translations of poetry by Li Bo, an outstanding representative of Chinese classical literature of the Tang era, through the prism of the principle of cooperation by G.P. Grice, which is the fundamental theory of pragmatic linguistics. The object of the research is S.A. Toroptsev's translations, in which the author carefully examines the observance and violation of the four maxims of cooperation: quantity, quality, relevance and manner, when transmitting poetic images and culturally loaded vocabulary. Special attention is paid to the specifics of Li Bo's poetry, including unique rhetorical techniques, the associative structure of the text and complex cultural contexts, which creates significant difficulties in conveying its deep meaning in Russian. The study reveals not only the theoretical aspects of the communicative adequacy of translation, but also offers practical recommendations for more effective adaptation of Li Bo's poetry in intercultural communication. The study uses a systematic pragmatic analysis using the principle of cooperation as an analytical tool for evaluating translation activities and intercultural communication. The novelty of the research lies in the systematic analysis of Russian translations of Li Bo's poetry from the standpoint of pragmalinguistics, which had previously been little mastered in translation studies. The main conclusions of the study are to identify the features of violation and observance of maxims of the principle of cooperation by the translator, which clarifies the mechanisms of transmission of original meanings and emotions in the translation of classical Chinese poetry. A special contribution of the author is the practical proposal of methodological approaches for optimizing the translation strategy, contributing to a more adequate representation of the cultural context and artistic intent of Li Bo in Russian translation. In addition, the study highlights the importance of balancing equivalence and text adaptation in the context of linguistic and cultural differences, which significantly improves the quality of the translation product and the perception of poetry in a different cultural environment.
