Integrating Interactive Flat Panels in Islamic Religious Education: A Literature Review on Qur’anic Literacy and Character Development
Abstract
This article examines how Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) can support Qur’anic literacy and character development in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Using a narrative literature review with qualitative thematic synthesis, the study draws on 19 substantive publications from 2024–2026 and one methodological reference from 2021. The review organizes the literature around IFP affordances, PAI pedagogy, Qur’anic literacy, and character development. Findings suggest that IFPs can help teachers display verses clearly, annotate tajwid, use validated recitation audio, encourage participation, and guide reflection. These benefits depend on accurate materials, direct recitation practice, teacher modeling, habituation, and appropriate evaluation. The article proposes a five-stage framework: value orientation, text encounter, meaning construction, character reflection, and evaluation with follow-up. Because the framework remains conceptual, classroom testing is still required and no causal effectiveness is claimed.
