Oct 2026 · The Actual Problems of study of humanities · Vol 3, pp. 443-449 · 0 citations

Abstract

Learning a language is not limited to studying grammar and vocabulary. The main objective of language teaching is to enable learners to communicate effectively in real-life situations. Therefore, language skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing should be developed together. In the past, these skills were often taught separately. However, the modern approach considers their integration to be more effective because language skills are interconnected and are used simultaneously in everyday communication. The integrated approach helps learners use the language naturally and meaningfully. It brings real-life situations into the classroom, increases students’ interest and engagement, and improves their academic achievement. The teacher plays a crucial role in implementing the integrated approach by organizing various learning activities and creating a cooperative learning environment through the use of authentic, real-life contexts. Keywords: language skills, integrated approach, task-based activities, cooperative learning environment, teacher-centered and learner-centered learning
