Abstract
Supply chain disruptions affect the economic and delivery performance of distribution networks. This study develops a bi-objective two-level capacitated facility location model under depot disruptions, assigning customers to primary and backup depots through the same satellite to ensure service continuity. The model minimizes expected system cost and delivery time under capacity restrictions. The initial nonlinear formulation is reformulated as an equivalent mixed-integer linear programming model, and a normalized weighted-sum approach examines the objective trade-off. Experiments on 20–70-node instances reveal a clear cost–delivery-time trade-off. Both single-objective models reach proven optimality for up to 35 nodes, while larger instances exhibit increasing solution times and optimality gaps. The results demonstrate the value of balancing economic and delivery performance in disruption aware distribution network design.
This paper introduces the Hierarchical Facility Location-Inventory-Routing Problem (HFLIRP) within a supply chain network design setting, involving both strategic and tactical level decisions. The strategic level considers locating distribution centers (DCs), locating and sizing retail branches (RBs), and determining D...

We study the problem of designing large-scale resilient relay logistics hub networks. We propose a model of Capacitated Relay Network Design under Stochastic Demand and Consolidation-Based Routing (CRND-SDCR), which aims to improve a network’s efficiency and resilience against commodity demand variability through integ...
This study addresses a single-depot stochastic inventory-routing problem with static inventory control policies and vehicle routing decisions. The model integrates precomputed safety stock values into a mixed-integer linear programming formulation, accounting for customer-specific demand variability and service level r...

This paper introduces and studies the Multi-Objective Enterprise Green Supply Chain Network Design problem (MOEDGSCND) an extension of the well known Multi-Objective Supply Chain Network Design (MO-SCND), in this case a three-objective combinatorial optimisation problem that simultaneously minimises total cost f1, carb...
Large suburban communities are rapidly expanding, generating significant subway travel demand and necessitating efficient feeder connections between these communities and subway stations. Against this backdrop, demand-responsive community electric buses, known for their flexibility and eco-friendliness, play a unique m...

ABSTRACT Last-mile delivery-the final and most critical stage of fulfilling customer orders-is typically the most costly and time-consuming component of the distribution process. Optimizing this stage is therefore essential for improving the overall efficiency and sustainability of logistics operations. This study begi...
