Comparative Analysis of Platform Communication Mechanisms and Implications
Abstract
With the rapid development of technology, social media has become an indispensable part of people's daily lives. This paper mainly discusses the different communication mechanisms, user behavior, and marketing strategies of these platforms. It also points out that the social media platform is not a neutral channel, but in a structured environment, which affects the visibility and interaction mode of content through algorithms, social networks, and economic logic. According to the comparative analysis, this study focuses on the completely different use logic of the three platforms. TikTok is a content-driven platform, which is characterized by algorithm recommendations, short and eye-catching content, and high user participation, enabling users to use it at the fastest speed. Instagram represents an identity-driven environment. Visual aesthetics, self-display, and existing social relationships shape user participation and content production. X is an information-driven network, with real-time news, public discourse, and information dissemination through forwarding comments as the core. The article further points out that there are significant differences in user motivation, participation mode, and content strategy among different platforms. Future development trends will exacerbate these dynamics, so more adaptive platform-specific communication and marketing strategies are needed.
