TL;DR
Hydrogels with an equimolar ratio of the polyelectrolytes in the mixture were found to have the highest consistency coefficient and, accordingly, the lowest flow behavior index, as well as the highest uniaxial compressive strength.
It was shown that the phase transition temperature of F127 solutions increases upon the addition of F68 or L64, enabling optimization of the gelation temperature, enabling optimization of the gelation temperature of leflunomide.

Over the past decade, superabsorbent hydrogels based on natural polymers (cellulose, chitosan) have been widely applied in biomedicine. Despite their high stability and biocompatibility, these hydrogels exhibit several drawbacks associated with insufficient pseudoplasticity and thixotropy. Consequently, the development...

The limited water solubility of chitosan, which necessitates acidic conditions for its dissolution, restricts its application in food and pharmaceutical systems. To overcome this limitation, we chemically modified a chitosan molecule by introducing hydrophilic groups and compared three chitosan forms—unmodified chitosa...

The main aim of this study was to develop a cost‐effective, pH‐sensitive Alginate (Alg), PVA, and chitosan (Cs) (Alg/PVA/Cs) hydrogel biocompatible polymer for controlled drug release of azithromycin. Tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) was used to chemically crosslink the hydrogel, improving its structural integrity and...

This report focused on synthesizing a biodegradable material based on poly(β-amino ester) hydrogel with curcumin loaded for application as a wound dressing treatment, as well as examining other physicochemical and physiological properties. The hydrogel was prepared via aza-Michael addition between cystamine and poly(et...
