Privacy-Preserving Technologies in Data
Abstract
DEA-Leak / DEA ArtifactGuard 2.0 — Public-Safe Reproducibility Package DEA ArtifactGuard 2.0 is an open-source research software package accompanying the manuscript DEA-Leak: Post-Computation Record Reconstruction and Automated Release Hardening for Data Envelopment Analysis. The software investigates privacy leakage arising from the disclosure of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) result artifacts, including efficiency scores, peer intensities (lambda coefficients), input and output slacks, and projected target coordinates. For radial CCR and BCC models, the framework identifies algebraic reconstruction paths through which combinations of released analytical outputs may reveal confidential decision-making unit (DMU) input and output values. DEA ArtifactGuard 2.0 provides coordinate-level disclosure analysis, automated reconstruction-path detection, release-schema auditing, and minimum-declared-utility-loss artifact suppression for configurable protection levels. The reproducibility package includes: Python source code and command-line interface. Deterministic synthetic reconstruction experiments. Coordinate-granular reconstruction validation across CCR/BCC model families and input/output orientations. Exhaustive release-artifact subset auditing. Optimization validation against brute-force reference solutions. Native software verification records involving the R packages Benchmarking and deaR. Automated tests and reproducibility documentation. The public validation suite includes 20 synthetic dataset-model cases, exhaustive enumeration of 128 release subsets per orientation, and 144 optimizer-versus-brute-force validation instances. Data availability: The confidential KOSGEB firm-level administrative dataset and KOSGEB-derived numerical result files are not included in this public archive. Security limitations: DEA ArtifactGuard 2.0 addresses explicitly modeled DEA reconstruction paths. It does not provide differential privacy, cryptographic confidentiality, or protection against all possible inference attacks. This publication proposes a definition and a classification of agile software development approaches and analyses ten software development methods that can be characterized as being "agile" against the defined criterion.

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

The results show that the embedded industry has been able to apply agile methods in its development processes and that the appreciation of the agile methods and their individual practices appears to increase once adopted and applied in practice.
