Abstract
Electronic quantum coherence in molecular systems rarely persists beyond tens of femtoseconds at room temperature, especially at the macroscopic scale. Recent experimental work suggests that coupling molecular or material excitation to confined radiation inside an optical cavity leads to enhanced coherence lifetime, extending to picoseconds at room temperature. We develop new quantum dynamical approaches as well as analytical theoretical frameworks to provide microscopic insights into this phenomenon. Specifically, we develop a microscopic theory to describe polaron polariton dispersion, formed by hybridizing excitons, photons, and phonons, as well as their coherent dynamics inside optical cavities. Using this framework, we show that the entire polaron-polariton system can be described with a band picture despite the phonons breaking translational symmetry. This theory sheds light on the long-lived coherent ballistic motion of exciton-polaritons with high excitonic character that propagate with group velocities lower than expected from pure exciton-polariton bands.
Exciton-polaritons (EPs) are valuable for investigating macroscopic quantum coherent phenomena. However, overcoming the rapid decoherence of EPs under ambient conditions is challenging, even using delicately fabricated optical cavities. Here, we show pronounced coherent dynamics in thin flakes of WSe2 supporting self-h...

Exciton-polaritons, hybrid light-matter quasiparticles formed when a material interacts with a confined electric field, have experimentally been shown to exhibit mesoscale coherent quantum propagation that remains robust at room temperature. However, an accurate and direct quantum dynamical simulation of this phenomeno...

We study a hybrid system of coupled cavities, with or without two-level atoms doped inside. By employing a building-block construction facilitated by nonlinear Stark coupling, we identify a manifold of exact many-body eigenstates that remain analytically tractable across arbitrary lattice geometries and atom distributi...
Exciton-polaritons have emerged as a promising platform for manipulating molecular excited state processes via strong light-matter hybridization, offering new opportunities in nanophotonics and quantum photochemistry. Despite this potential, obtaining a clear picture of polariton dynamics and their associated excited s...

Excitons are bound electron-hole pairs in semiconductors whose interactions influence optical properties and determine their collective behavior and emergent correlated phases. Despite the theoretical and experimental significance of these phenomena, a microscopic theory of exciton-exciton interactions that takes into...
We investigate collective dynamics in molecular and hybrid semiconductors using nonlinear and quantum spectroscopies. We first present excitation correlation photoluminescence studies of molecular polariton condensates, revealing transient coherence buildup often obscured in steady-state observations. Additionally, we...
