Abstract

This article examines price transparency as a critical contemporary challenge for brands operating in highly competitive and digitalized markets. In the face of rapid technological developments, increasing consumer awareness, and easy access to comparative pricing information, companies are forced to rethink traditional pricing strategies. Price transparency is analyzed not only as an ethical business principle, but also as a strategic marketing tool that directly impacts consumer trust, brand reputation, and long-term competitiveness. The study examines the relationship between transparent pricing and key consumer behavior indicators, including building trust, developing loyalty, and purchasing intent. It is argued that clear and openly stated pricing structures reduce perceived risk, minimize uncertainty, and improve the overall customer experience. When consumers fully understand what they are paying for, including the cost of the product, the components of the cost, and additional fees, they are more likely to perceive the brand as honest and trustworthy. This perception significantly contributes to positive word-of-mouth and repeat usage. At the same time, the article identifies potential risks associated with full price transparency, such as increased price competition, margin pressure, and increased vulnerability to competitor comparisons. Brands that disclose detailed pricing information may face difficulties in maintaining differentiation, especially in price-sensitive mass segments. Therefore, implementing transparent pricing requires a balanced strategic approach that aligns corporate values, communication policies, and long-term. The article notes that price transparency should be viewed as a multidimensional management decision, not a purely operational adjustment. Its successful implementation depends on consistent communication, ethical marketing practices, and the integration of digital tools that ensure open interaction with customers. In today's market conditions, price transparency is becoming not only a response to consumer expectations, but also a sustainable competitive advantage that can strengthen brand equity and ensure a stable business.
