DO ISOLAMENTO À INTELIGÊNCIA COLETIVA A EVOLUÇÃO DA COLABORAÇÃO ENTRE PARES EM LARGA ESCALA EM UM PROJETO DE ENGENHARIA NA MODALIDADE SEMIPRESENCIAL
Abstract
: Student isolation in Distance and Hybrid Learning represents a structural challenge for engineering programs, hindering the development of collaborative skills required by the National Curricular Guidelines (DCNs). This article investigates the evolution of peer collaboration in a large-scale, problem-based learning (PBL) pedagogical project mediated by Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). Through a longitudinal observational study, submission metadata and perception evaluations from a cohort ranging from 1,112 to 1,686 students were analyzed across four phases. The results reveal a massive migration from individual to collaborative work: individual submissions dropped from 51.4% in the first phase to 26.3% in the final phase, at which point 94.4% of active students were integrated into a team. The analysis of in-person mediation demonstrated that group dynamics followed Tuckman’s development model, overcoming friction in the prototyping phase to achieve high
