TL;DR

The expression of the circRNA circKLHL20_009 was significantly upregulated in the myocardium of patients with heart failure and in human cardiomyocytes treated with angiotensin II and an artificial circRNA sponge, circSPmiR31, effectively mitigated cardiac hypertrophy and fibrosis by suppressing miR-31-5p binding to Dkk1 mRNA.

POU2F1 promotes hypertensive cardiac fibrosis by regulating mitochondrial homeostasis through PINK1/Parkin-dependent mitophagy

Hypertension-induced cardiac fibrosis is a major risk factor for heart failure; although disrupted mitochondrial homeostasis has been confirmed to serve a critical role in the pathological process, its upstream regulatory factors remain incompletely understood. In the current study, RNA sequencing and bioinformatics an...

Cardiac ACY1 ameliorates pathological hypertrophy by suppressing β-catenin/TCF4 signaling.

The findings establish the ACY1/β-catenin/TCF4/TCF4/UCHL1 pathway as a fundamental mechanism in disease progression, thereby proposing the enhancement of ACY1 function as a rational and innovative strategy to treat pressure-overload heart failure.

RGS6 drives myocyte loss in the diabetic heart via a KLF4/miR-30e/CaMKII-dependent mechanism.

It is demonstrated that high glucose triggers regulator of G protein signaling 6 (RGS6) up-regulation in both human and murine cardiomyocytes, the hearts of hyperglycemic mice, and cardiac tissue samples from individuals with heart failure and a history of diabetes point to RGS6/KLF4 as key sources of pathogenic cardia...

Circular RNA Fgfr2 suppresses hepatic fibrosis through the miR-1941-5p/DDAH1 axis and modulates oxidative stress- and autophagy-related signaling.

An inhibitory role of circFgfr2 in HSC activation and experimental hepatic fibrogenesis is supported and a circFgfr2/mmu-miR-1941-5p/DDAH1 regulatory pathway in the murine experimental system is established.
