TL;DR
Comparative transcriptomic analysis of kidney tissues from two sympatric hammerhead sharks, Sphyrna lewini and Sphyrna zygaena, collected under comparable marine salinity conditions provide comparative molecular insights into species-specific osmoregulatory strategies and offer a framework for understanding physiological differentiation among closely related elasmobranchs.
It is suggested that CLC-3 is a salinity-responsive intracellular chloride-transporter candidate associated with intestinal ion-transport-related transcriptional responses after ANO1 suppression in L. vannamei, although the underlying physiological mechanism requires further validation.

Multi-omics analysis revealed hypoxia-induced alterations in metabolites and genes, providing crucial insights into the hypoxia tolerance mechanism of the L. crocea and offering evidence supporting the improved hypoxia tolerance of the selected population.

Exogenous C16:1 elicited a focused transcriptional adjustment rather than broad transcriptome-wide reprogramming in salt-stressed Z. rouxii, indicating that peroxisome-linked lipid processes and redox regulation were candidate mechanisms underlying fatty-acid-associated halotolerance and provided targets for improving...

Whether marine bivalves, as osmoconformers, actively transport inorganic ions to counter osmotic stress remains unclear due to insufficient direct evidence. The estuarine bivalve Crassostrea hongkongensis offers an ideal model to address this issue, as our previous ultrastructural study hinted at the existence of ionoc...
These findings provide key insights into the role of SnRK gene family in mangrove adaptation to saline intertidal habitat, and suggest AmSnRK2.7-AmENO2 module plays a role in salt tolerance.
