Teacher's Learning Strategies in Islamic Religious Education for Instilling Students’ Noble Character
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the learning strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in instilling students’ noble character (akhlakul karimah) at SMA Riyadlul Ulum Sukoharjo, North Lampung. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a field study design. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the school principal, PAI teachers, and students. Data analysis used the interactive model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, and data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that PAI teachers implement five learning strategies: (1) direct instruction, (2) indirect instruction, (3) interactive instruction, (4) independent; (5) experiential learning, These five strategies proved effective in shaping students' religious, disciplined, honest, and responsible character. The main supporting factor is teacher role modeling and school culture, while inhibiting factors include social media influence and time constraints.
