DIFFICULTIES OF NON-PHILOLOGICAL STUDENTS IN LEARNING VOCABULARY AND USING RELEVANT TEXTS IN TEACHING ENGLISH.

TEACHING AZERBAIJANI IN RUSSIAN-LANGUAGE SCHOOLS: METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES AND INSTRUCTIONAL PRINCIPLES

The article explores the features of teaching the Azerbaijani language in Russian-language schools, the challenges encountered, and effective methodological approaches. It highlights the presence of phonetic, lexical, grammatical, and motivational difficulties in the teaching process and recommends applying communicative, step-by-step, comparative, and student-centered principles to address these issues. The article also provides practical suggestions for using visual, translation, and game-based methods, as well as for vocabulary work, grammar instruction, and the development of reading and writing skills. The research findings indicate that the comprehensive and purposeful application of methodological principles significantly contributes to the development of students’ communicative competence in Azerbaijani and enhances their interest in learning the language.

Diplomatic speech in french: teaching guidelines for developing speech skills

This paper examines the distinctive features of diplomatic discourse in the French language and highlights their relevance within the teaching and learning process. Particular attention is given to the pragmatic, stylistic, and argumentative dimensions of diplomatic discourse, which are essential for the development of discursive competence. The study proposes a set of pedagogical tools tailored to the needs of students in the field of international relations. These include the analysis of official speeches, reformulation exercises, and simulations of diplomatic dialogue. The methodological framework is based on the qualitative analysis of student performance, combined with the implementation of interactive learning activities. The findings demonstrate the effectiveness of approaches centered on authentic discourse in enhancing both linguistic and pragmatic competencies. The study contributes to the development of applicable didactic models for training future specialists in international communication

The Reflection and Application of Communicative Language Teaching in English Teaching

Emerging in late 1960s, Communicative Language Teaching showed some changes in the British language teaching tradition. It shifted from Situational Language Teaching about the mere mastery of structures to emphasize communicative proficiency. This approach has brought great influence to foreign language education, especially the English instruction. Here it briefly discusses some language and learning theories about Communicative Language Teaching, and certain principles are provided for teachers to improve teaching efficiency and for learners to take their responsibility in learning. Finally,one listening and speaking class in senior high school will be conducted to show the application of Communicative Language Teaching, hoping to facilitating English teaching.
