TL;DR

A bibliometric analysis of studies related to knowledge management and marketing that are indexed in the Web of Science database covers the period 1999-2026 and allows for the identification of long-term publication trends and emerging research directions.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of studies related to knowledge management and marketing that are indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) database. The dataset created for this purpose consists of journal articles indexed in the Web of Science database. The research covers the period 1999-2026 and allows for the identification of long-term publication trends and emerging research directions. Bibliographic data, including authors and keywords, were extracted and analysed using R Biblioshiny software. 558 articles were evaluated in the study. The analysis focuses on word clouds and thematic clusters, as well as identifying the authors and sources with the greatest source influence. The findings are expected to reveal the most influential authors, journals, countries, and collaborations, as well as current themes, shaping knowledge management research in marketing. In this context, the research has yielded important managerial conclusions, such as knowledge management emerging as a strategic capability in marketing, increasing competitiveness, ensuring effectiveness in customer relationship management, and improving marketing performance through artificial intelligence and data analytics. Therefore, this study offers insights for researchers seeking to understand future research opportunities by visualizing the field's knowledge base and development trajectory, and revealing the evolution of marketing.

Bibliometric Analysis of the B Corp Movement: Implications for Researchers in Türkiye

This study aims to map the intellectual and conceptual landscape of the B Corp movement within the scientific literature through a quantitative bibliometric analysis. Utilising the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection database, the research analyses 108 peer-reviewed articles published between 2007 and 2025. Data visualisation and network analysis, including co-authorship and keyword co-occurrence, were performed using the VOSviewer software. The results show that the number of publications has been growing exponentially since 2011, and the majority of the articles are in the business and management field. A total of 282 keywords were evaluated, and “B Corp” (total link strength: 315) and “Corporate Social Responsibility” (total link strength: 92) were identified as central conceptual pillars. The most cited influential work is by Julie Battilana and Alnoor Ebrahim, with 728 citations. Geographic concentration is still strong in the USA and Europe, but research on emerging economies, such as Türkiye, where there are presently 15 certified B Corps, is critically lacking. The results show a conceptual move from general corporate responsibility to specific issues of 'social impact' and 'employee ownership'. The paper concludes with a research agenda for future research that can help bridge the gap between global norms and local institutional contexts, particularly for researchers in Türkiye.

The sustainable company in the academic literature: a bibliometric analysis

Objective: The sustainable company has drawn considerable interest over time as shown by the dataset that contains research papers spanning from 1982 to 2026. The objective of this article is to present a comprehensive overview of this subject and its evolution over time. Methodology: A bibliometric analysis is performed on the Web of Science database. No time filter was applied and 5563 articles from business-related categories were analyzed using Bibliometrix , a package of R Studio. Findings: The firsts papers were published between 1980-2000 and analyzed the corporate accountability for the social and physical environment, while exploring frameworks for creating sustainable companies. Over the next two decades, the focus shifted to sustainable business models, financial impact and company-level strategies. After COVID-19 crisis, sustainable supply chain management, circular economy, green innovations and ESG performance gained more interest, representing possible directions of future research. The main keywords cluster presents the close link between sustainability, performance, management and innovation. Performance is the theme that draws the most interest, being one of the most used keywords. The second cluster indicates the importance of governance in reaching social and environment objectives while the last one mentions the importance of SDGs and ethics within the CSR activities. The research is fragmented, both in the analyzed themes and in the author's collaboration network, with the EU countries being one of the biggest producers of cited research papers next to USA, China and UK

Mapping the evolution of marketing research in the global fitness industry: a bibliometric and thematic analysis

This study aims to map the evolution of marketing research in the global fitness industry through bibliometric and thematic analysis. Data were collected from Scopus, ScienceDirect, and PubMed databases, covering the period from 2015 to 2025. A total of 2,462 articles were initially identified, with 1,171 articles meeting the inclusion criteria for analysis, and the top 10 most cited studies selected for in-depth review. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer to examine publication trends, authorship patterns, country contributions, research domains, and thematic developments. The results indicate a significant and consistent increase in research productivity, growing from 30 publications in 2015 to 230 in 2025, with over 15,000 citations globally. The United States, China, and the United Kingdom dominate scientific contributions, while leading authors such as García-Fernández have played a central role in shaping the field. The dominant research themes include service quality, customer satisfaction, loyalty, digital fitness platforms, and customer behavior. Furthermore, the findings highlight the increasing integration of digital technologies, such as fitness applications and social media, in marketing strategies. This study demonstrates that marketing research in the fitness industry has evolved into a multidisciplinary and rapidly growing field. It also identifies future research opportunities, particularly in digital transformation, customer experience, and technology-driven service innovation within the global fitness sector

Mapping Sustainable Business Research from 2015 to 2025 Using Bibliometric Analysis

This study provides a bibliometric overview of sustainable business research published between 2015 and 2025. Bibliographic data were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection and included English-language articles and review articles. Following data screening and cleaning, 4,317 publications were retained for analysis. Performance indicators were combined with science mapping techniques using VOSviewer to examine publication growth, influential contributors, international collaboration, thematic structure, and emerging research topics. Scientific production increased continuously from 128 publications in 2015 to 831 publications in 2025, with nearly seventy percent of the documents published during the final five years of the period. China recorded the largest publication output, while England displayed the strongest overall international collaboration. The country co-authorship network included 51 countries organized into five clusters. Keyword co-occurrence analysis identified 260 terms grouped into five interconnected thematic clusters addressing organizational performance, corporate responsibility and governance, technological transformation, sustainable business model innovation, and organizational capabilities. The temporal analysis revealed growing attention to environmental, social, and governance practices, disclosure, digital transformation, dynamic capabilities, and small and medium-sized enterprises. The findings demonstrate that sustainable business has developed into a rapidly expanding and internationally connected research field that increasingly integrates strategic, technological, environmental, and organizational perspectives.
