The possibility of multiple positive clinical effects of Bacillus clausii in patients for the prevention and treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhea in adults and children, eradication therapy of Helicobacter pylori infection, rotavirus infection in children, irritable bowel syndrome in children and adults, recurrent aphthous ulcer and oral candidiasis in adults, respiratory infections in children, as well as psoriasis and functional dyspepsia is considered.
Abstract
Background. The intestinal microflora is very important in maintaining the health of the body, metabolism, absorption of nutrients and regulation of immunity. Against the background of various diseases, the composition of the microflora is disrupted and the formation of a number of organic and functional diseases is triggered. Probiotic can help to restore intestinal microbial balance and maintain homeostasis. Species of the genus Bacillus and related genera (Alkalihalobacillus and Heyndrickxia) are currently well studied and used in practice as probiotics due to their ability to form endospores that provide high resistance to adverse conditions. Results. Many beneficial properties of spore-forming probiotics, such as adhesion to the intestine, reproduction in the intestine, resistance to extreme conditions, immunomodulatory effect, production of biologically active and antimicrobial compounds are considered in the presented review article. The possibility of multiple positive clinical effects of Bacillus clausii in patients for the prevention and treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhea in adults and children, eradication therapy of Helicobacter pylori infection, rotavirus infection in children, irritable bowel syndrome in children and adults, recurrent aphthous ulcer and oral candidiasis in adults, respiratory infections in children, as well as psoriasis and functional dyspepsia.
Development of a microbiological therapeutic and prophylactic drug based on lactic acid and propionic acid bacteria (probiotics) to increase the resistance of agricultural animals to diseases is proposed.

Introduction. The issue of developing and introducing new, effective probiotics into medical and veterinary practice is of great relevance. This is linked to the increasing frequency of microbiome imbalances, which have a negative impact on the body’s health, as well as to the circulation of large numbers of microbial...
