Abstract

Highlights • Mentha-mediated SeNPs protect against Adriamycin-induced chronic kidney injury via multi-target molecular modulation.• Green-synthesized SeNPs restore renal function and preserve kidney histoarchitecture in CKD rats.• SeNPs reduce oxidative stress and suppress apoptosis by inhibiting Bax and p53 signaling pathways.• Anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic actions of SeNPs involve downregulation of TNF-α, TGF-β, Collagen, and α-SMA.• Biosynthesized SeNPs represent a promising nanotherapeutic strategy for chronic kidney disease management.
