Abstract

This article examines the main directions for improving energy efficiency in Kazakhstan's economy and construction sectors, and assesses the dynamics of the energy intensity of the gross domestic product. It is compared with other developed countries, particularly For example, compared with Finland, which has a similar climate, Kazakhstan uses several times more energy. This study provides the first comprehensive review and analysis of the factors affecting the energy intensity of Kazakhstan's GDP. The study aimed to examine the impact of various factors on the energy intensity of GDP: - indicators of the country's economic well-being; - indicators describing energy development and the population's living standards. Energy saving is one of the main trends in the development of the global “green” economy today. Renewable sources, solar roofs, energy-efficient homes, and digital modeling are in demand among market participants. A significant focus in modern construction is on buildings that maximize internal heat gain with minimal costs. Currently, energy-saving technologies in construction are taking precedence, and building contractors are energy-efficiency, construction contractors are actively developing new projects. First, energy-saving technologies are not only an economic necessity but also a trend embraced by the global community based on a “green economy.” Secondly, conserving energy resources is a modern necessity. This will inevitably lead to a further increase in the cost of energy resources and will make energy conservation a top priority. In the future, it will be possible to compare the domestic and world prices of gas, electricity, oil, and coal. We analyzed the most popular and promising technologies used in Kazakhstan and other countries. These are structures with an energy consumption level not exceeding 15 kW/(m²·year), whereas ordinary homes require 300 kW/(m²·year) for heating. In energy-efficient homes, heating efficiency is 30% higher than in standard cottages. Energy-efficient homes use the least energy to maintain the indoor climate.  Such buildings reduce heating costs by up to 90% and electricity costs by up to 70%.
