The selectivity of electrochemical CO reduction (CORR) on Cu‐based catalysts is critically governed by dynamic surface reconstruction and the resulting interfacial adsorbates. However, how reconstruction‐derived surface species cooperatively dictate the acetate pathway remains poorly understood. Here, we employ a Cu2O/Cu heterostructure as a precursor model catalyst that generate a surface enriched in adsorbed OH species (OHad) upon its reconstruction into metallic Cu. Operando spectroscopy characterizations clearly reveal that surface‐enriched OHad synergistically strengthens the adsorption and activation of active low‐frequency‐band *CO intermediates and steers C─C coupling toward acetate over ethanol/ethylene through OHad‐COad synergistic interaction, as further corroborated by our first‐principles density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The reconstructed catalyst achieves an acetate Faradaic efficiency of ∼73.7% (79.5% of all C2+ product), delivers a peak partial current density of 298.9 mA cm−2, and maintains stable catalytic operation over 120 h of continuous electrolysis. This work establishes a fundamental operando mechanistic framework linking reconstruction‐derived OHad enrichment to selective CO‐to‐acetate electroconversion, and provides guiding principles for rational interfacial engineering of Cu‐based catalysts toward targeted C2+ product selectivity in renewable electricity‐driven CORR.
Surface reconstruction plays an important role in catalysts for the efficient oxygen evolution reaction (OER). In this work, we report the designed synthesis of the Ce‐ion‐doped Fe‐MOF (CFM) directly grown on nickel foam via a facile solvothermal route. Transmission electron microscopy indicates that the rich CeO...
Although acidic CO2 electroreduction to multicarbon products offers superior carbon utilization compared to alkaline/neutral routes, its performance is severely hampered by proton‐enrichment‐induced hydrogen evolution (HER). To address this issue, we propose a host‐guest cooperative catalysis strategy by constructing a...
ABSTRACT The electrooxidation of 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to 2,5‐furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) is often limited by competitive adsorption between HMF and surface‐bound hydroxyl species (OHads), which governs both activity and selectivity, yet independent control over these interfacial adsorption processes remains...

Renewable‐powered water electrolysis is pivotal to sustainable hydrogen production, yet the alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) remains kinetically sluggish at high current densities. This limitation stems not only from the extra water‐dissociation step, but also from an unfavorable interfacial water microen...
Cyclohexanone serves as a crucial precursor in the chemical industry and can be produced via selective hydrogenation of phenol, a process that suffers from sluggish reaction kinetics and over‐hydrogenation to cyclohexanol. This study develops a hierarchical ZSM‐5 zeolite‐supported Pd–Co bimetallic catalyst (Pd–Co/D...
