Abstract

The article provides a comparative assessment of the current state of Russia's LNG industry in the context of the transformation of the global liquefied natural gas market. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing role of LNG as a system-forming factor of global energy security and by increasing competition among major exporters. Based on the analysis of liquefaction capacities, infrastructure utilization rates, export flows and import dynamics in 2020-2024, the key regional and national trends are identified. The findings show that North America, primarily the United States, has become the main growth driver of the global LNG market, while Qatar and Australia have entered a stabilization phase. Russia, despite sanctions and logistical constraints, has maintained positive export dynamics and strengthened its presence in Asian markets. The practical significance lies in identifying the resilience factors and limitations of further development of Russia's LNG industry.
