The potential molecular mechanisms by which Hedyotis diffusa alleviates lung injury from multiple perspectives are explored, providing experimental evidence and theoretical insights for further mechanistic studies and clinical drug development.
Abstract
Simple Summary Acute lung injury has a high mortality rate, and its pathogenesis involves excessive inflammation, oxidative stress imbalance, and alveolar barrier disruption. As a traditional Chinese medicine, Hedyotis diffusa shows potential protective effects against acute lung injury; however, its specific molecular mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we established a lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced rat model of acute lung injury and, using transcriptomic analysis, identified differentially expressed genes and key signaling pathways following drug intervention. The binding affinities between the active compounds and the core targets were further evaluated using molecular docking. We explored the potential molecular mechanisms by which Hedyotis diffusa alleviates lung injury from multiple perspectives, providing experimental evidence and theoretical insights for further mechanistic studies and clinical drug development.
Acute lung injury (ALI) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) are life-threatening conditions characterized by severe pulmonary dysfunction, with persistently high global incidence and mortality. Although glucocorticoids, the standard pharmacotherapy for ALI/ARDS, have been reported to reduce short-term mortal...

Abstract Acute lung injury (ALI) is a critical clinical condition with high mortality and morbidity. It initially manifests as hypoxemia, pulmonary interstitial edema, and pulmonary inflammation, and may progress to acute respiratory distress syndrome, posing a serious threat to human health. Conventional treatments ha...

INTRODUCTION
Sanguisorba officinalis L. (Di Yu) has traditionally been used for snakebite treatment. Ziyuglycoside I, a major bioactive constituent of Di Yu, exhibits anti-inflammatory activity, but its role in snake venom-associated renal injury remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate its potential protective...
Results suggest SYH mitigates ALI by inhibiting the pro-inflammatory TLR4/MYD88/NF-κB pathway and activating the antioxidant Keap-1/Nrf2/HO-1/NQO1 pathway.

ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE
Acute infectious lung injury involves excessive innate inflammation, oxidative stress, and epithelial barrier damage. Hanchuan Zupa Granules (HCZP), a Uyghur patent medicine, are traditionally used for cold-type Nazla characterized by cough, dyspnea, and viscous sputum.
