TL;DR

An end-to-end SurgFM-SLAM framework for surgical scene reconstruction is developed by exploring geometric representation priors of pretrained 3D foundation models (FMs) and SLAM and embedding SurgFM into the SLAM backend to construct SurgFM-SLAM to perform robust surgical scene reconstruction in an end-to-end manner, including tracking, mapping, and relocalization.

SurgDepth: Test-Time Adaptation of Depth Foundation Models for Surgical Scene Understanding.

Through the first systematic study of TTA for dense depth regression (eight baselines), it is shown that existing TTA methods consistently fail in this setting: entropy-based methods degrade regardless of the number of adapted parameters, and temporal-photometric adaptation diverges on non-rigid tissue.

Endo4DGSLAM: Multi-level deformable modeling with redundancy reduction for endoscopic non-rigid SLAM.

This work presents a dynamic GS-SLAM framework specifically tailored for endoscopic environments that reuses deformation information to construct a motion mask, which mitigates the influence of locally dynamic tissues on camera tracking and reduces unnecessary backpropagation during optimization.

Zebra3D: Efficient Hybrid Foundation Models For Scalable 3D Reconstruction

Zebra3D, a layerwise sparse-linear hybrid attention framework that improves the efficiency of pretrained 3D foundation models without training from scratch, achieves strong reconstruction and camera-pose accuracy at high attention sparsity, with training-free variants remaining close to their dense counterparts.

Reconstructing the Dynamic World: A Representation-Centric View of 4D Scene Reconstruction

4D scene reconstruction aims to recover the evolving geometry, appearance, and motion of dynamic environments from visual observations. Despite substantial progress in neural scene representations, reconstructing dynamic scenes remains challenging due to non-rigid motion, occlusions, temporal inconsistencies, and the t...
